I understand that the root of the problem is the slow spinning 5400 rpm disk, confirmed by EtreCheckPro which says "The hard drive in this computer is too slow." (report attached below). I'm guessing that this is because it switched to using APFS for the system disk. If the old OS was on one machine, and the desired target was another, I’d suggest upgrading the original device, then attempting to transfer that copy of Win10 to the new device, since Win10 will automatically try to evolve to work on the new hardware, adding drivers etc.IMac "Hard drive too slow" Since I upgraded my iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017) to Catalina (now on Big Sur) it has been decidedly slow, with a lot of "beachballing".
